I bought a refurbished x-box from a gamestop located near me. It came with a 30 day warranty from them and a 1 year warranty from microsoft. Before the month was up the system stopped working due to a hard drive problem. GameStop honored their warranty and exchanged the console, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!! Within 3 months of having the new console it quit reading discs. Someone told me to seperate the back of the soft cover and blow the dust out and clean the lens with a cleaning disc. It wouldn't even spin the cleaning disc which is what helped me realize what was wrong with the conlsole. I called X-box customer support and had it sent to be repaired under the warranty. After waiting 3 weeks it finally came back, UNREPAIRED!!!! There was a letter saying why it wasn't repaired which was because the soft cover was seperated, not takin all the way off. Well i didn't seperate the cover until the piece of crap stopped working other wise it would not have had to been seperated. Needless to say they will not honor the warranty, all i want is what i paid over 200 dollars cash for a working product not junk that only works for a few months then breaks. When i called x-box after the conlsole came back UNREPAIRED i was promised a call back from a supervisor. I was lied to, after 3 weeks of no call back I took it upon myself to call them back, only to be told they would call me back. That didn't go over to well with me after already waiting for a call back for 3 weeks. i refused to get off the phone until a supervisor talked to me. While waiting for her the customer rep got very sarcastic with me and basically ridiculed me. That is not the way I should have been talked to for wanting a working product.
